Auburn's quarterback competition resumed Saturday exactly where it left off in the spring, with Burns and Todd neck-and-neck in the race to replace Brandon Cox.

Saturday's practice, the first of 22 in fall camp, wasn't going to decide who starts the Aug. 30 season-opener against Louisiana-Monroe. But both quarterbacks practiced as if the job was on the line.
