Caravan to make stops in Castle Rock, Breckenridge, Grand Junction and Steamboat Springs

FORT COLLINS, Colo. ? Several members of the Colorado State Department of Athletics, led by football Head Coach Jim McElwain and men’s basketball Head Coach Larry Eustachy, will host events for alumni and fans at four stops around the state of Colorado next week as part of the department’s annual RamStorming Tour.

At each stop, fans will have an opportunity to hear McElwain and Eustachy speak and meet the men who will lead the Green and Gold into competition beginning this fall.

The trip begins Tuesday when the Rams travel south on Interstate 25 to Castle Rock, Colo., for an evening event (6-8) at the Rockyard American Grill & Brewing Company (800 Castleton Road).

Wednesday’s itinerary features two stops and a pair of chances for Rams fans to meet the coaches. First, the caravan will stop in Breckenridge, Colo., for a lunch event at Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant (600 S. Park Street) from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The Rams will then continue to Colorado’s Western Slope for a special CSU Alumni Association event ? free to Alumni Association and Ram Club members; $10 for non-members ? at the Grand Junction Courtyard Marriott (765 Horizon Drive) from 6-8 p.m.

The caravan then heads to the northwest part of the state for the final event of the tour at The Boathouse Pub (609 Yampa Street) in Steamboat Springs, Colo. The lunch event is set to run from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, before the Rams return to Fort Collins.

Voice of the Rams Brian Roth will emcee each of the events along the way.

In all, the 2012 Ram Storming tour will cover approximately 730 miles, nearly enough distance to cover Colorado (the union’s eight-largest state) twice border-to-border from east to west.
