He's a good man, with a great sense of humor. He also is a very good coach. I think you guys have a good one. He's organized, and has been around the Bama program now for a few years, and the Bama program is run about as well as any program. I think you guys will be very pleased.

I hope you are right. The cupboard isn't exactly bare here, we just need someone who can get things moving in a positive direction. Hopefully McElwain is the guy!
Best of luck against LSU!

how is he as a recruiter? Obviously, worlds of difference between recruiting at Alabama and CSU...

Watch how fast he turns CSU into a winner ... CU should be very concerned

He's very personable and the players like him ...he should do very well on the recruiting trail.

I follow Bama football/recruiting closely and honestly don't know much about Jim McElwain as a recruiter. I know he has impressed just about everyone.. but I really have never read much about his visiting players homes/schools.
He'll come across well to the mamas and papas.

Hey Colorado State. Y'all are getting a good coach in Jim McElwain. You will see disciplined football players who want to dominate the opponent for sixty minutes.

Colorado State was a force in the past. Now it just might get back to that high standard again with Coach Mac in chage.

wondering what he going to do with the staff - since his connection to Lubick and we have so many "lubick" guys on staff it would seem the path of least resistance is to retain everyone
