Sleeper making impact

One of the best players that no one really knows about, yet, is linebacker/safety James Randall (6-1, 190, 4.5) from Compton, Calif. Once word gets around about Randall's playmaking ability his status will change from sleeper to prospect.

Randall is a three-year starter for an emerging Compton high school program that was down for years and now is beginning to hit stride as Compton is guaranteed their third straight winning season as they sit a perfect 6-0.

In six games, Randall has accounted for 55 tackles, six sacks and has two fumble recoveries, both in which, he returned for touchdowns. One he raced 55 yards and the other 35 yards to pay dirt.

"James is doing a great job for us," Compton head coach Calvin Bryant said. "He has been absolutely dominating and is shutting down our opponents."

"James has been unblockable this season," Bryant said. "Because he stands out on tape, our opponents have begun to take notice and are game planning on how to avoid him."
