Bibbs to enter NFL draft
Kapri Bibbs announced on twitter his intensions to enter the NFL draft this spring.FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- After his lone sensational season in Fort Collins, Colorado State redshirt-sophomore running back
"To all my Ram fans and Colorado people I am officially joining the 2014 NFL Draft," Bibbs stated via his personal twitter account. "I hope all my fans follow me next year and continue to support me as well I am simply dream chasing !!"
Bibbs, who set CSU single-season records for yards (1,741) and touchdowns (31) was also just the third tailback in NCAA history to rush for 30 or more touchdowns in a season, joining Wisconsin's Montee Ball and Oklahoma State's Barry Sanders, Sr.
Bibbs tied Sanders this fall as the only two players to rush for three or more scores in a single game eight times in one year. Perhaps more impressive was the fact that Bibbs didn't start a game for the Rams until week six against San Jose State. Until then, he was the Rams' third-string tailback. In all, Bibbs only started seven of CSU's 14 games.
The 5-foot-11, 203-pound tailback will go down as one of Colorado State's top running backs ever. In just one season in Fort Collins, not only did he rewrite the CSU record books, but he jump-started a CSU team that was on the outside looking in on bowl eligibility after a 2-4 start. CSU ultimately finished 8-6 after a come-from-behind 48-45 victory over Washington State in the New Mexico Bowl.
